J K Smith Sr Youth Boxing Program

Cultivating the hidden Genius in Sons of Color is the motto of the J K Smith Sr Foundation

Boxing Training is one way that the J K Smith Sr Foundation is cultivating this hidden Genius.

There are 3 main results our Boxing program has

  1. Character Development
  2. Physical Fitness
  3. Human Connection

In addition to these 3 results, this is also our Non-Violent Direct Action to combat Gun Violence.

While the focus of our Foundation is Sons of Color, our Boxing Program does not exclude Sisters who seek to participate in our class.

While Sons of Color are the focus of our Foundation, we do not exclude individuals of other ethnic groups seeking to participate in our Boxing Program.

The International aim of our Youth Boxing Program is to provide and support Youth Boxing Programs across the Global African Diaspora. We do this by providing support through boxing coaching, boxing equipment, boxing competitions, and boxing program funding.

Imagine Afro-American youth boxing with Afro-Haitian youth. Imagine an American Non-Profit Organization led by an Afro-American Man supporting Youth Initiatives for Afro-Haitian Youth in Haiti.

We believe this type of international unity is a global lifeline to help sustain our motto of Cultivating the hidden Genius in Sons of Color.

In the Spirit of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Boxing Training is our Non-Violent Direct Action to combat Gun & Gang Violence.

There are too many young people shooting and killing because they use the gun-violence to resolve conflict; especially in destructive gang culture.

Our solution suggestion for youth conflict and gang violence is to put the gun down and put the gloves on.

It is our aim to partner with churches, schools, organizations, government to help provide the activities that will train youth in character development of conflict resolution that will prevent gun violence and blood shed.

Boxing Conditioning is a great way to build Character of Will Power and Confidence through Physical Fitness and Mental Sharpness.

In our Boxing Sessions we focus on principles and people that inspire our youth to aspire higher, using good character to do their best work while learning to defend themselves.
